The first step in having a cat flap installed by Freedom Cat Flap Fitters is to decide which type of cat flap you require based upon the needs of you and your cat. For example you may have a problem in your neighbourhood of unwanted cats entering your home via your cat flap or pet door. Or you may wish to allow your cat outdoor access only at particular times of the day.
We can fit a wide variety of cat flaps which easily allow you to have granular control over your cats access to your home and outside.
4-Way Manual Cat Flap
A catflap with 4 different manual settings for a high level of control.
A 4 way cat flap is a step up from a basic 4 way cat flap. You can set it to fully open, fully closed, just incoming or just outgoing. Robust, long lasting and no batteries needed, no microchip or magnetic collars needed. Simple and effective for the comfort of you and your cat.
4-Way Microchip Catflap
A digital catflap operated by a microchip in your cats
Microchip cat flaps give you the ultimate level of control over your cats access into and out of your home.
Do you have a pesky neighbouring cat that enters your home unannounced? With the digital microchip catflap, you can set the flap to open only for your cat or cats by pairing the catflap to the microchip on your cats collar. With more granular control you can also allow the cat flap to be used at specified times of day. An excellent option for those requiring a more detailed level of control.

Similar to the Microchip cat flap but this time operated via a magnet in your cats collar. No batteries to worry about, just a simple magnetic switch that triggers when your cat arrives at the cat flap door ready to come in or go out. Includes 4-way lock as per the standard manual 4-way cat flap.
